ABOUT US
The
Wergs Gun Club was formed in the late 1970`s by a group of English Sporting
shooters who decided to create a clay pigeon shoot/club for shooters by
shooters.
Over
the years our shoot/club has progressed in size and refinement, from manually
operated traps offering 35 birds to our current automatic traps giving a choice
of 60 birds or 100 birds over 10 stands, covering a variety of backgrounds. We
shoot fortnightly on Sundays starting at 9.30am, final entries at 11.00 am with
a trophy shoot included in your card on alternate shooting dates, all at very
competitive prices.
The shoot/club is CPSA affiliated, carries Section 11 cover
and has its own registered Safety Officer, unfortunately tuition and coaching
are not available, but all safe minded are very welcome. Should shooters wish to
join the club, membership is available provided you hold a current shotgun
certificate. Membership does entitle shooters to discounted rates, why not pay
us a visit and decide for yourself?
Junior shooters are encouraged under your supervision at
special junior rates.
Cartridges are available (plaswad) on production of your
SGC. Breakfast sandwiches, hot and cold drinks are also available from our
‘chuckwagon’.
